The Dome, installation, iron construction and braided rosemary.
The Dome
The dome outline hangs from the ceiling, and braided in it the rosemary plants that grow wild around the tombs. In different cultures- from ancient Egypt to the present day in Druze cemeteries, rosemary was planted in burial structures,
believing in its miraculous abilities. In the Kabbalah tradition, the rosemary plant purifies the place where it is placed.
The construction was planned and built following the interest in the dome of "The Righteous Tomb." The outline structure produces a certain angle that deceives the viewer eye and turns the image into a complete outline of the dome.
The dome is not attached to the ceiling, but hovers, marking the action space below where the performance events are held.
