The Rabbi's Daughter

In this work Bitton enters into an Orthodox Synagogue where her father serves as a Rabbi,  in the section where only men pray. This entrance takes on a freedom which is possible only due to her father's position.

At first she stands with her back to the Holy Ark, then she approaches and opens the doors of the Ark. On the background her father's voice emphasizes the prayer which is being said before the opening of the Ark in a traditional Moroccan style.

The work examines Bitton place within the spiritual space.

The work "The Rabbi’s Daughter" was displayed in 2017 -Jerusalem Biannual.

In 2018- at the exhibition "Tehoma Raba", On the Seam Museum, Jerusalem.

In 2019-  at Luz Art, Los Angeles, the Leichtag gallery, San Diego, and at the JCC, Manhattan.
